Utilizing geothermal resources of the volcanic archipelago
Japan holds the world 3rd largest geothermal resource (23M kW). Geothermal power is generated from steam and heat of hotspring that lies deep in the earth. SB Energy is developing geothermal power to be the next generation base supply of energy.

Utilizing the abundant water resource in our country, hydroelectric power generation provides efficient and stable supply of electricity from natural flow of rivers and waterfalls.
Domestically nurtured technology is applied to expand renewable energy in the global scale
SB Energy aims to expand the use of renewable energy on a global scale. As a first step, we have embarked on the development of renewable energy in Mongolia. We evaluate the feasibility of renewable development mainly on wind power generation in the South Gobi Desert. We promote the construction of the world's largest wind power plant and strive to be the key driver to accelerate the renewable projects around the world.
The first proposed site is in a midway between Tavan Tolgoi, one of the world’s largest coal mine, and Oyu Tolgoi, one of the world’s largest gold and copper mine. The 50MW Tsetsii Wind Farm was constructed and came into operation in October 6th, 2017.
